Appletree Nursery

Here are some extracts from our most recent inspection report in November 2010.

'Children enjoy coming to Appletree Nursery because they are fully included in an interesting variety of activities. They make good progress because the staff meet their individual needs exceptionally well. Partnerships with other agencies and engagement with parents and carers are outstanding and these help children to feel valued and extremely well cared for. The owner and staff work well together and have a good knowledge of the nursery's strengths and areas for development. They have a good capacity for continuous improvement.'

'Staff have an excellent awareness of safeguarding and child protection.'

'Partnerships with parents and carers are excellent. The Nursery has a highly positive relationship with all groups of parents and carers, who highly value the efforts the staff are prepared to make to meet their child's needs.'

'The Nursery is extremely well-led and managed. Leaders have an accurate picture of what the Nursery does well and are clearly focused on the key priorities needed to improve outcomes for children.'

'Children's learning and development are supported and extended because of the skilled questioning of staff and the good quality of their interactions.'

'Overall, children achieve well and are well prepared for their next stage of learning in this warm, welcoming and fully inclusive Nursery.'
