Outdoor playtime
Both the morning and afternoon sessions begin with a registration time, when the children can share their news. Mid way through each session the children will be offered a healthy snack and drink.
(See our monthly menu)

Because we realise that some children
are 'outdoor learners' this area is used
whenever possible for structured
activities, free play and walks.

We plan activities around topics which change every couple of weeks to maintain the children's interest and enthusiasm. Topics are chosen according to the children's interests.
Activities your child can access include:

- Role play - (e.g. house/shop/hospital)
- Music and movement
- Number games and puzzles
- Mark making
- Sharing stories and exploring books.
- ICT (computer and tape recorder)
- Sand & water play
- Painting, drawing & model making
- Small world play (e.g. playmobil/animals)
- Construction (e.g. duplo/wooden blocks)
- Circle times (e.g. group games & discussion)
- Malleable & Messy play (e.g. playdough/gloop)

Lunches
We have a Healthy Eating policy which we ask that parents read and adhere to.
If your child is bringing a packed lunch to nursery we ask that you include a cool pack in warm weather. We also ask that you avoid sending products containing nuts. Please ensure that your child's lunch is clearly named.
Our policy is to leave left overs in the lunch box so that you can see exactly what your child has eaten.
